FINAL EXAM AT CWS

Cws 17

The Final exams are worth 30% of the final grade of the student.

Once the date and proctor have been selected, the proctor must confirm their readiness to supervise the exam by completing the “CWS Proctor Form”. Subsequently, their details are forwarded to the principal for approval. Upon approval, the student and proctor work together to establish the exam’s date, time, and location. The proctor will receive the test 2 hours before the scheduled exam time. Following the exam, the proctor is responsible for submitting a scanned, legible copy of the exam to CWS for correction and marking.

Where satellite locations for international students are not available, a student will write their examination in the presence of a designated proctor of CWS.  Where the situation restricts physical contact between individuals, all final exams will be conducted online, with specific instructions on the procedure, as provided by CWS.

Who can serve as a proctor?

A proctor is a professional adult selected by the student, who is not related to them. Examples include day school teachers, guidance counselors, coaches, librarians, doctors, lawyers, accountants, and small business owners. The proctor must possess a dedicated professional email address (e.g., first.lastname@business.ca) and agree to adhere to CWS procedures outlined by the instructor. They must supervise the student throughout the exam duration and have access to a printer and scanner.

How are exams scheduled?

Students provide their proctor’s details, including their professional email address and phone number to CWS staff at least 3 days before the desired exam date. Once selected, the proctor must confirm their readiness to supervise the exam by completing the “CWS Proctor Form”. If a proctor charges a fee for their services, CWS is not responsible for covering this cost.
