“Are you an adult learner who hasn’t had the opportunity to finish your high school education?”
Canadian World Schools (CWS) offers a range of opportunities for adult learners, whether you’re aiming to obtain your high school diploma, pursue specific courses for a career change, or enhance your grades for college or university admission.
With CWS’s flexible online format, you can earn high school credits without disrupting your life. Our asynchronous approach allows you to access lessons and complete coursework at your convenience, day or night.
Adult Program FAQ
1. Am I a Mature Student?
You qualify as a mature student if:
- You are not currently enrolled in high school.
- You have not attended high school for at least one year since turning 18.
Upon registration, please send the following documents to info@cwsschool.com for further guidance:
- Identification: One of the following documents
A copy of your passport, driver’s license, or any other government-issued photo ID. - Academic Records: Please share your most recent academic transcript, which should include any post-secondary documents from Canada.
If the documents are not in English, we also need a translated copy.
2. Can I Take Courses With CWS Even If I Have Already Graduated? Absolutely! Whether you’re seeking personal enrichment or specific credits for further education, we accommodate your needs.
3. Can I Graduate Through CWS?
Yes! Mature students who haven’t attained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) can graduate with CWS upon fulfilling all OSSD requirements. For graduation inquiries, email info@cwsschool.com with your academic transcripts and proof of age.
4. I Don’t Have The Listed Prerequisite For The Course I Need. Can You Help?
If you’re unsure about meeting prerequisite requirements, please email info@cwsschool.com with your academic transcripts and your future goal. We’ll assist you in assessing your credits and guide you toward the courses you require.
5. Is This Program Designed For Independent Study, Or Is There A Teacher?
Each student is assigned an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) who provides support throughout the course. Teachers are available online daily, responding to student inquiries within 24 business hours. Office hours are also available for more immediate assistance.
6. How Will I Be Evaluated? Are There Tests Or Assignments?
All CWS courses feature various assessment types, including tests, quizzes, essay presentations, research projects, and final exams. Assignments are self-paced with no specified deadlines, except for tests and exams, which are timed evaluations conducted independently at home.
7. How Will You Transfer My Grade To My School?
Upon completing a CWS course, students can request their final report card. CWS will mail a sealed copy of the final report card directly to relevant institutions upon request.
